Jessica Persson is a Somerset County native that was transplanted to the Pittsburgh area in 2004.  She recently received her Master's degree from Pitt in 2007 and works as a sub-contract Archaeologist.  Even as a child, Jessica has loved arts and crafts.  She has tried her hand at a little of everything over the years from beading to knitting, but her true passion is candle making.  The intricate cutting, curling and twisting of her candles is a form of relaxation to her.  "It fills my heart with joy at making these beautiful and unique works of art, and being able to share them with the community.  It's my hope that these 'candles' will be enjoyed and cherished for a long time to come."  If you have any questions or comments for the artist please contact her using the Contact Us function.
